Lygodactylus williamsi are known as the electric blue day gecko. Males are electric blue, while females are a green color. Juveniles will display a similar color as the females until they reach sexual maturity.
A single animal can be kept in a 12 x 12 x 18 enclosure, but pairs are recommended to be in larger. A bioactive enclosure with plants and cleanup crew is recommended. Keep electric blue day geckos between 75-80 F. A basking spot of around 90-95 F should be provided. Night temperatures should not fall below 70 F. Electric blue day geckos should also be provided with a 5.0 or similar strength UVB light. Electric blue day geckos should be provided a humid setup between 60-70%. Maintaining a well-ventilated setup while retaining elevated humidity is important to successfully maintaining this species. Electric blue day geckos should be misted daily.
These small geckos will only reach around 3 inches as adults. All geckos are at least 2 months old when sold as juveniles. These geckos can live for up to 10 years in captivity. Electric blue day geckos are omnivores, eating both insects and fruit in the wild. We feed Pangea gecko diet, along with offering calcium dusted fruit flies.
